Student Films Win At Digital Film Festival

For the past three years the Austin Film Society (AFS) has been teaching afterschool film workshops at some 21st CCLC sites in Austin. About 150 elementary, middle, and high school afterschool students participated in the AFS afterschool and summer programs this past year. Read more.

It’s summer time!

Typically during the summer there is not a lot going on around the Texas Education Agency, that’s not the case in our office! 21st CCLC programs are gearing up for their summer programs if they are not already in full swing. Also, in my quest to meet each of you, I am looking forward to bumping into a bunch of you in Miami, FL for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers 2007 Summer Institute. Finally, I can’t wait to see all of you July 30-August 1 at the 21st Century “Hands on Mind On!” conference here in Austin! If you have not registered, please do. It’s going to be a great conference with lots of information to take back to your programs.
